I am having a problem when trying to setup port forwarding. When specifying the interface I am not given the option of "WIFI", only "WAN". I have been instructed to reflash the firmware. My question is should I use the .bin or the .trx upgrade file?

The router currently has BBHN 1.0 on it and all appears to be working EXCEPT the option for the WIFI interface.

Anytime you already have our firmware loaded, use the generic TRX file to reflash/upgrade.

But hang on a second...

I just realized that the 1.0.0 by default is in 5-host-direct, and below will only show WAN (just looked at my one node still in 5-host mode)

You do not need to port forward when in this mode, as the device is essentially out on the mesh directly with a 10.x.x.x IP. So you wont need to port forward usually, when in this mode. This is equivalent of normal home-routers having the device on the  "DMZ".

My mistake, as I am used to working in NAT mode (and usually change all of my nodes from the now-default 5-host-direct back to NAT).

You do not need to reflash, it should just work as is, if you call the 10.x.x.x IP or the name you assign in the DHCP address reservation.
