I am going to be testing my setup soon and have been thinking about how to align the yagi.  I will be shooting a few miles from a lookout on a mountain down to a point across a river.  I was thinking of attaching a green laser pointer to help with the rough alignment.  At that distance it shouldn't be a hazard to anyone's eyes.

Any comments or suggestions?

On the Status page click on the [Auto] button that's next to the Signal/Noise readings.  Watch it go up and down as you move the yagi.  It's not real fast but it's useful.

Yes, that's for fine tuning.  When shooting a few miles I'm hoping the laser will give me a pretty close alignment.  Then I can tweak from there.  I'll see in the next couple of weeks depending on the weather.
