I have put together a HOWTO on my blog for building a portable mesh node with VOIP and wifi. We use this setup at church buildings to get on the mesh where we can't install any equipment long term. It uses VOIP so anyone who knows how to use a phone can use it. Great little kit and not too difficult to build.

Very cool. I read your web page about this. Do you have any idea of the total cost of the node done this way? -- Ron - KE5RON

So, just for grins I used the links in your web page to see what these items cost. The Amazon items came to about $540 as of today. With the battery and EMT conduit the total would be around $650 per node. Some of the items (connectors, wire) can be used for multiple nodes but I would estimate the per node cost to still be at least $600. Very cool solution. Thanks for sharing it. -- Ron - KE5RON
