Hello,

I have seen the numerous posts about using HSMM-MESH in other routers and the work being done there. Thanks to the developers for the incredible work so far.

I just acquired a Buffalo WHR-G54S router which has the same Broadcom 5352 chipset and 16mb memory with 4mb flash as the WRT54G. I am curious if the WRT54G firmware could be used in this Buffalo router to make another MESH unit. Any words of wisdom??? Thanks.

The Buffalo WHR-54S is not on the supported hardware list.  We have regular requests to port the firmware to devices other than the Linksys routers.

We welcome new developers to help with the list of development tasks.  At this time we do not support the Buffalo WHR-54S.

OK Glenn,

Thanks for the info. I was hoping with the same chipset and flash that maybe there was a chance. I guess I will leave it running DD-WRT for now then.

I did notice that the supported hardware list does not seem to list all the routers that are covered in the firmware download page. Is there and updated list somewhere for the other firmwares listed??
