To all those who are interested, I've installed a HSMM-MESH node in the East Bay Berkeley Hills.

Node Location: KCS66M-101

SSID = HSMM-MESH

Node Name = KC6SSM-101

Frequency = 2.412Ghz (WiFi Channel 1)

ERP = 38.47 Watts (Maximum Output)

Note: Does not include 8 meters of LMR-200 cable loss.

Equipment:

Cisco-Linksys WRT54GL (19dBm = 0.0794 Watts)

JJPlus BoosterPro2 BP2 (33dBm = 1.9952 Watts)

Alfa AOA-2415 15dBi Omni-Directional Antenna

If you are able to connect to my node you will be able to look at installation pictures and stream music to test the usable throughput by selecting the TonidoPlug service.  The TonidoPlug is mini server which is attached to the router.

To access the TonidolPlug login as a guest.

UserName = guest

Password = 12345678

You can also access the TonidoPlug via the internet by using the following link.

http://kc6ssm.tonidoid.com/ui/guest/index.html

Update: 4/16/11

Able to connect point to point 6.88 miles with identical setup on each side.

See map at web site above.

Questions and comments are always welcome.

OK, finally weather, health, and the schedule are starting to cooperate, so I'll be getting my node back up. Terrific job on this build Corey! 73! Jack, K6JEB

New to the Forum and had a look at what you have done. Liked what I saw and you gave me many ideas. I'm looking to build a MESH here in Glenn County to further my learning of IP and Wireless modes. Any suggestions would be very helpful and welcomed. Maybe we can link the two MESH's together? You have done a terrific job on your build. I took a look at the fines on your server and although the pictures were slow to load it was not bad at all and demonstrated just how this works and can benefit all of Amateur radio kingdom. 73, Mikey, kf6obi
